Explore the next step in your teaching career with Melior PBS!

If you are a teacher with experience supporting students with disability, developmental difference, autism, additional needs or emotional and behavioural concerns, you already understand behaviour, learning, communication, regulation and the impact of environment. You know that when a person is struggling, there is usually more happening beneath the surface.

You have taught a student whose behaviour made complete sense once you understood what was happening for them. You have also known that understanding one student properly competes with 29 others. In Positive Behaviour Support, that one person is the whole job.

PBS starts from something you already know: behaviour is communication. When someone does not have the words, skills or tools to say what they need, the need shows up another way. PBS is the work of understanding why, changing what is around the person rather than the person, and teaching the skills that meet that need another way.

It is a discipline, not a knack: backed by international research and practised in group homes, schools, workplaces, family homes and the community. Register for our information session to find out how your teaching experience could translate.

We’re looking for people who are curious, creative and people-first; and who like finding practical ways to support positive change.

Come along to learn:

  • What a PBS Practitioner actually does, day to day
  • How your experience would transfer to the role
  • What makes Melior’s people-first culture special
  • The induction, training and supervision we provide

You’ll also hear from our Co-Managing Directors, current PBS Practitioners and People & Culture team, with time for questions over refreshments. If you’d like to, you can also have an informal chat with us about future opportunities.

This is not an invitation to apply for a job today. It is an invitation to explore whether PBS could be a meaningful next step for you.
